Jakarta, March 31 -- Indonesia is importing 160 thousand pickup trucks from India, China, and Japan to support cooperatives established under the Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDMP) program, state-run food company PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara announced.
Agrinas is the firm assigned by the government to build and provide essential facilities and equipment for more than 80 thousand village cooperatives in collaboration with the military, as outlined by a 2025 presidential instruction.
"We have already agreed to procure as many as 160 thousand units," Agrinas President Director Joao Angelo de Sousa Mota remarked at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs office in Jakarta on Tuesday.
