Jakarta, Sept. 9 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology is joining forces with other government institutions to establish a university consortium aimed at strengthening efforts to combat tuberculosis (TB).

Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Fauzan emphasized that tackling TB requires a collaborative approach involving ministries, government agencies, and universities.

"Universities possess immense potential to directly address community needs through targeted student community service (KKN), transformative learning, research, and public service," he said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
