Jakarta, April 11 -- Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Puspa stated that wellness tourism has become one of the ministry's priority programs to increase tourist arrivals to Indonesia and, therefore, support the national economy.
"The Ministry of Tourism has included wellness tourism as part of our priority programs," she said when met here on Saturday.
She added that wellness tourism is part of quality tourism, and the ministry has continued to encourage more events and support the development of industries engaged in the wellness sector.
So far, Indonesia has several cities that serve as wellness tourism destinations, namely Bali, Yogyakarta, and Solo.
