Jakarta, July 20 -- Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman has pledged to streamline licensing procedures for investors developing modern dairy farms to accelerate Indonesia's milk self-sufficiency program and reduce the country's reliance on imports.

Amran said the government is committed to facilitating investment by expediting all licensing processes so that projects can be implemented promptly and deliver benefits to the public.

"If investors need permits from the Ministry of Agriculture, our staff will personally assist with the process," Amran said in a press statement received in Jakarta on Monday.

According to the minister, the applicant can send their documents digitally to the WhatsApp information center to get priority.
