Jakarta, Aug. 18 -- Indonesia's Tourism Ministry has stepped up efforts to boost the domestic premium tourism market through a forum dubbed Luxury Business Networking, connecting 11 tourism businesses with at least 25 potential buyers.

The event, which showcased luxury tourism packages priced at more than Rp15 million (US$800) per person, was designed to help tourism businesses expand their markets and explore opportunities centered on destinations across Indonesia.

"We seek to ensure that Indonesians' money circulates domestically through world-class premium tourism products," Tourism Ministry Deputy for Marketing Ni Made Ayu Marthini said in a statement here on Tuesday.
