Jakarta, March 5 -- Indonesia can capitalize on export opportunities arising from disruptions in global supply chains as geopolitical tensions reshape international trade, Trade Minister Budi Santoso said on Thursday.
He noted that instability in the Middle East could disrupt goods supply from certain countries, creating gaps in global markets.
"When geopolitical crises occur, they usually change the trade map. When supply chains are disrupted, markets are left open because suppliers are constrained," Santoso said.
Such conditions could allow Indonesia to fill those gaps in several export destinations, he added.
