Indonesia eyes China, Middle East for poultry exports
Jakarta, July 18 -- Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono said the country continues to explore export opportunities for poultry products to China and the Middle East.
The initiative aims to expand market access, absorb domestic production surpluses, and improve the welfare of local poultry farmers.
"The Ministry of Agriculture is actively exploring export opportunities for poultry products to various countries, including China and the Middle East, amid rising global food demand in the international market," Sudaryono said in a statement released here on Saturday.
The deputy minister noted that Indonesia's poultry sector is currently experiencing an oversupply.
