Jakarta, July 22 -- Indonesia has a strong opportunity to become Asia's hub for hydrogen production, trade, and development as low-carbon output grows, infrastructure expands, and regional demand rises, according to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Prahoro Nurtjahyo, head of the ministry's Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM), in Jakarta on Wednesday emphasized that the world is currently entering a new phase in the energy transition.

This shift no longer focuses solely on building renewable power capacity but also on delivering clean energy to hard-to-abate sectors such as heavy industry, shipping, logistics, and transportation.
