Jakarta, Aug. 5 -- Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the Indonesian government will continue several strategic programs, including food assistance and holiday travel discounts, during the second half of 2026.

At a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, Airlangga said the food assistance program, which provides 10-kilogram rice packages, will target 33.24 million beneficiaries.

For the school holiday and year-end travel discount program, the package includes a 30 percent discount on sea transportation, waived port charges, and government-borne Value Added Tax (VAT) on economy-class airline tickets.
