Indonesia expands paralympictraining center facilities
Jakarta, June 17 -- Indonesia is expanding the Indonesia Paralympic Training Center (IPTC) in Central Java, adding new facilities to strengthen athlete development and support preparations for international competitions.
The government is continuing construction of the IPTC in Karanganyar to improve training infrastructure for athletes with disabilities.
Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo said in Jakarta on Tuesday that Phase II will prioritize an education building and a sports arena, which are considered essential for athlete development.
The expansion plan is based on operational needs identified by the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC).
