Jakarta, May 27 -- Indonesia's Creative Economy Ministry is exploring partnerships with government agencies, private companies and other stakeholders to expand infrastructure supporting creative industries across the country, an official said.

"We are mapping potential cooperation for infrastructure provision to support creative economy activities," the ministry's Director of Infrastructure Facilitation, Fahmy Akmal, said in a statement on Wednesday.

Akmal said digital infrastructure could be developed in creative economy zones across districts and cities to strengthen regional creative industries.

He said infrastructure support would cover not only digital products but also culture-, design- and media-based creative sectors.
