Magelang, July 28 -- Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor emphasized that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are now a key driver of the national economy and an increasingly strategic provider of employment.

While opening the 2026 Job Fair in Magelang, Central Java, on Tuesday, the deputy minister urged young people not to focus solely on working for large companies but to take advantage of career opportunities offered by the MSME sector.

Noor stated that MSMEs are often viewed as a second choice when job seekers fail to secure positions at large companies. However, MSMEs are dynamic workplaces capable of developing creative, adaptive human resources equipped to overcome operational challenges.
