Indonesia empowers 1,200 poor Central Java residents under PPSE
Jakarta, July 23 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Social Affairs has empowered 1,200 economically disadvantaged residents in Karanganyar District, Central Java, through its Socioeconomic Empowerment Program (PPSE), aiming to improve their welfare.
The PPSE is among the 29 welfare support initiatives announced by President Prabowo Subianto during a plenary cabinet meeting in Jakarta on July 20.
The ministry's Director of Social Empowerment, Radik Raksaguna, said in a statement here on Thursday that the beneficiaries had been registered in the National Single Socioeconomic Data (DTSEN), which classifies residents based on their economic conditions to ensure targeted welfare assistance.
