Indonesia drives collaboration to build senior-friendly tourism
Jakarta, July 27 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism is seeking to strengthen collaboration with relevant stakeholders to develop tourism services tailored for senior citizens amid growing aging populations worldwide.
"Through collaboration among the government, businesses, associations, academia, healthcare professionals, and the public, we are optimistic that developing senior tourism will open up new economic opportunities and expand the high-quality tourism market," the ministry's spokesperson Nia Niscaya told ANTARA in Jakarta on Sunday.
Nia expressed optimism that developing tourism services for older adults could strengthen Indonesia's position as a premier destination both regionally and globally.
