Jakarta, July 29 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy is drafting guidelines on the use of artificial intelligence across the creative economy as the government finalizes a national AI roadmap and AI ethics framework.

Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya said on Wednesday the ministry would translate national AI policies into practical implementation across the country's 21 creative economy subsectors once the regulations are enacted.

He said the government had issued Presidential Regulation No. 37 of 2026 on the 2026-2045 Creative Economy Master Plan, which covers 21 creative economy subsectors, including emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, and Web3.
