Jakarta, May 6 -- Indonesia has disbursed Rp2.6 trillion (about US$150 million) from its 2026 budget for nationwide school revitalization and digitalization, Primary and Secondary EducationMinister Abdul Mu'ti said on Wednesday.
"We have disbursed Rp2.6 trillion for 2026," Mu'ti said at a press conference on the government's quick-win programs in Jakarta.
He said Rp14 trillion (about US$850 million) has been allocated to upgrade 117,444 schools nationwide this year.
The ministry has signed cooperation agreements with 4,838 schools, with 3,408 already receiving assistance under the program.
The initiative targets regions needing stronger government support to improve infrastructure, including North Sulawesi, Madura and East Nusa Tengga...
