Tanjab Barat, Jambi, Sept. 21 -- Indonesia's Tanjung Jabung Barat Immigration Office in Jambi Province has deported a 34-year-old Filipino national for violating the terms of his stay permit, an immigration official said.

"We took action because he engaged in activities inconsistent with the purpose of his stay permit. Following an investigation, he was deported from Indonesia," Tanjung Jabung Barat Immigration Office Head Andriw Guntur Suryadarma Simanjuntak said.

The case began after immigration intelligence and enforcement officers received information about the Filipino national's presence in Kuala Tungkal on Wednesday (Sept. 9), he said here Monday.
