Jakarta, Feb. 21 -- The South Jakarta Immigration Office deported 13 Chinese nationals for organizing a paid photo shoot event deemed a violation of stay permits at a restaurant in the Kebayoran Baru area.

"We have taken an administrative measure by deporting the 13 foreigners from China in accordance with applicable regulations," office head Winarko stated in Jakarta on Saturday.

He noted that the deportation followed an immigration monitoring operation against an event titled "Celebrity Portrait Event by Luxuravision.id" at the restaurant on January 26. The event, held from January 21-28, reportedly charged visitors for each photo session.
