Jakarta, Sept. 14 -- The Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) deployed the hospital ship KRI dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo-991 on Monday for a humanitarian and diplomatic mission to four countries namely Vanuatu, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, and Papua New Guinea.

The vessel departed Jakarta after being sent off by Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago and senior military officials.

Speaking at the send-off ceremony, Djamari said the ship's personnel, comprising members of the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL), Indonesian Army (TNI AD), Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU), National Police (Polri), and university students, would embark on a 60-day voyage.
