Jakarta, May 13 -- The Indonesian energy minister and finance minister have agreed to postpone the introduction of royalties and export levies on mining commodities.

The government is currently reviewing ways to maximize state revenue without disrupting the mining sector according to official statements.

"In today's meeting, both ministers agreed to revisit the plan for export levies and royalties. So it is being delayed for further discussion," Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry spokesperson Dwi Anggia told reporters here on Wednesday.

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa met Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia to discuss boosting non-tax state revenue.
