Jakarta, July 1 -- Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Maman Abdurrahman said the government and several e-commerce platforms have agreed to temporarily postpone any increase in service fees charged to merchants.

Maman said the agreement resulted from discussions between the Ministry of MSMEs and major online marketplaces aimed at maintaining a conducive business environment while the government completes the integration of its digital systems.

"The platforms and the Ministry of MSMEs have agreed to put this on hold while we accelerate the integration of the system," Maman told a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday.
