Indonesia coordinates with partners after Israeli GSF interception
Jakarta, May 20 -- Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono stated that Indonesia has coordinated with its diplomatic missions in the Middle East and partner nations whose citizens participated in the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) intercepted by Israel.
He noted that intensive coordination is underway to ensure the safety of Indonesians confirmed to have been detained by Israel following the interception earlier this week.
"We are seeking assistance from our partners-first, from countries whose citizens are facing the same situation, and also from our partners in Jordan and Turkey," he told the press at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.
