Jakarta, March 31 -- Indonesia strongly condemns the second attack that occurred near Bani Haiyyan, southern Lebanon, on Monday, which resulted in the death of two UNIFIL peacekeeping troops and the injury of two others while on duty.
"Indonesia mourns the loss of its fallen peacekeepers and stands in solidarity with their families, while wishing a swift recovery to those injured," quoted the official statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in X in Jakarta, Tuesday.
Indonesia stated that the recurrence of such heinous attacks against Indonesian peacekeepers within a short span of time is utterly unacceptable, stressing that the safety and security of UN peacekeepers is non-negotiable.
