Jakarta, July 24 -- Indonesia has strongly condemned recent attacks on commercial vessels navigating the Red Sea, describing them as a clear violation of international law and a threat to regional stability.

"Such an act is contrary to international law-including the principle of freedom of navigation-and endangers maritime safety, international trade, and regional stability," Indonesia's Foreign Ministry posted on X on Friday.
