Indonesia calls intl laws to be respected as US seeks to dismantle ICC
Jakarta, July 17 -- Indonesia reaffirmed that international legal principles and institutions must be respected by all nations as the United States seeks to undermine the International Criminal Court (ICC)'s ability to operate.
"As a nation that upholds international law and peaceful resolution to disputes, Indonesia always encourages all nations to respect the principles of international law," Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Yvonne Mewengkang told ANTARA on Friday.
Indonesia welcomes "all legal endeavors within the international corridor that prioritize accountability, impartiality, and non-selective principles," she stated.
