Jakarta, Sept. 12 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto called on BRICS member countries to strengthen domestic resilience and self-reliance, stressing that national sovereignty depends on a country's ability to chart its own course without external influence.

Addressing world leaders during a limited session on "Inclusive Global Governance and Strengthening Multilateralism" at the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi on Saturday, Prabowo emphasized that true independence requires countries to build strength from within.

"We do not like being dictated to by one or two specific powers," Prabowo said, according to a press release from the Presidential Secretariat.
