Jakarta, Sept. 24 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Population and Family Development is strengthening public education on male contraception to counter persistent myths and misconceptions and encourage greater male participation in family planning.

The ministry's Deputy for Family Planning and Reproductive Health, Wahidin, said the National Webinar on Male Family Planning was part of efforts to educate the public.

"With greater public understanding of various aspects of male contraception, we hope that men's acceptance of and participation in family planning programs will continue to rise," he said here Thursday.
