Jakarta, May 12 -- The Nusantara Lima Satellite has officially commenced operations and is expected to play a crucial role in accelerating equitable internet access across Indonesia, especially in frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) regions.

"Today, we proudly inaugurate the operation of the Nusantara Lima Satellite, an important symbol for our nation in maintaining our own national independence," President Director of PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN) Adi Rahman Adiwoso said during the inauguration ceremony here on Monday.
