Indonesia bolsters social rehabilitation in deradicalization drive
Jakarta, July 27 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs and the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) are strengthening collaboration on deradicalization efforts through social rehabilitation, mentoring, and social reintegration services for beneficiaries.
The matter was discussed during a meeting between Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf and BNPT Head Eddy Hartono in Jakarta on Monday.
Saifullah noted that collaboration between his ministry and BNPT has been long established. Under the partnership, BNPT serves as the lead coordinator for deradicalization, while the ministry provides support through social rehabilitation services across its centers.
