Jakarta, Sept. 16 -- Indonesian Trade Minister Budi Santoso stated here on Wednesday that the nuclear sector has become one of the primary focuses in the government's initial discussions regarding the Strategic Trade Management (STM) framework.

The STM is a global trade governance initiative designed to ensure that strategic goods and technologies with potential dual-use - both commercial and military - are not utilized to support activities that could jeopardize national or international security.

Santoso noted that the implementation of the STM aligns with Indonesia's commitments under the Agreement on Reciprocal Trade with the United States.
