Jakarta, Aug. 22 -- Indonesia's national women's volleyball team opened its AVC Women's Championship campaign with a straight-sets victory over Kazakhstan on Saturday, winning 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-23) at the Tianjin Olympic Center Gymnasium.

Despite facing sustained pressure late in each set, Indonesia maintained composure to complete the sweep.

Outside hitter Arsela Nuari Purnama led the Indonesian offense with a game-high 19 points, including 16 attack points, one block, and two service aces.

The opening set remained competitive through the midpoint, with the teams trading points up to a 22-22 tie before Indonesia secured three consecutive points to claim the set 25-22.
