Indonesia backs renewable energy for shrimp farming
Jakarta, Aug. 1 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT) is supporting the adoption of renewable energy technologies in shrimp aquaculture to improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and strengthen the industry's competitiveness.
Director General of Development Acceleration for Disadvantaged Regions at Kemendes PDTT Samsul Widodo said on Friday that shrimp farming is a leading export-oriented industry that requires technological modernization to sustain its competitiveness.
