Jakarta, March 12 -- Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan ensured that food supply during Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr will remain sufficient, with relatively controlled prices.
"During the fasting month until Eid, our food stock is more than sufficient. It is available and affordable," Hasan said after a coordination meeting at Jakarta on Wednesday.
He noted that several food commodities had experienced price increases, such as chili and eggs, but the situation remains under control and within the government's benchmark price range.
"Some prices have indeed risen, such as chili, but now they are starting to decline. Egg prices have also increased, but they are still within the benchmark price," he said.
