Jakarta, Sept. 3 -- Russian President Vladimir Putin described Indonesia as one of Moscow's key partners in the Asia-Pacific region and a trusted friend within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Speaking at a luncheon with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Vladivostok on Thursday, Putin expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian leader for attending the 11th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) as a guest of honor.

"I am very pleased. Our personal rapport reflects the strategic nature of the bilateral relations between Russia and Indonesia," Putin said.
