Jakarta, May 4 -- The Indonesian Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) is strengthening bilateral cooperation with Yemen regarding halal product assurance to provide legal certainty for consumers.

BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan said that both nations have discussed the strengthening of ties specifically regarding registration mechanisms for Yemeni products entering Indonesia.

"The meeting ensured a more productive cooperation between Indonesia and Yemen, supported by effective and accountable halal product registration and certification processes as a form of commitment to providing legal certainty and protection for customers," he remarked in a statement on Monday.
