Jakarta, Aug. 4 -- Indonesia and Thailand conveyed agreement to strengthen cooperation in the halal industry through the development of regional and global value chains as part of their countries' strategic partnership.

This was announced by President Prabowo Subianto and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday (August 3).

"With our respective strengths in the halal industry, Indonesia and Thailand can support each other in building regional and global halal industry value chains," Prabowo remarked.

He addressed that the collaboration is part of strengthening Indonesia and Thailand's strategic economic partnership and implementing the two countries' partnership roadmap.
