Jakarta, Aug. 31 -- The Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) and the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) have conducted joint underwater operations exercises aimed at sharpening personnel diving skills and strengthening bilateral military ties.

The Joint Dive Exercise (DIVEX) 2026 took place from August 25 to 30 at Jinhae Naval Base and on Jeju Island, South Korea, according to an official TNI AL press release issued in Jakarta on Monday.

Head of the Indonesian Navy Information Service, First Admiral Tunggul, stated that the joint drills were specifically designed to enhance the tactical proficiency of naval divers in carrying out specialized underwater missions.
