Jakarta, April 23 -- Indonesia and the Philippines agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in key sectors, including economic, political, and security areas, as well as international issues.
"In terms of economic cooperation, we agreed to strengthen collaboration, including local currency settlement and a more robust QR payment system," Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono said in a joint press statement with Philippine Foreign Minister Theresa Lazaro in Jakarta on Thursday.
Indonesia and the Philippines will also enhance connectivity between border cities, such as Manado, Bitung, Davao, and General Santos.
