Jakarta, Oct. 11 -- Minister of Culture Fadli Zon encouraged joint research by Indonesia and the Netherlands to trace the origins of the Raden Saleh collection and ancestral remains in the Theodor Verhoeven Collection in the Netherlands.

Such an initiative is part of efforts to expand the repatriation of historical cultural objects to Indonesia.

He conveyed this encouragement during a bilateral meeting with Dutch Minister of Education, Culture, and Science Rianne Letschert at the Indonesia House in Amsterdam on Friday (October 9).
