Indonesia, Morocco see stronger economic ties, trade growth
Jakarta, July 31 -- Indonesia and Morocco are entering a stronger phase of economic cooperation, driven by rising bilateral trade and expanding ties in food security, halal products and energy, Trade Minister Budi Santoso said Thursday.
Speaking at the 27th anniversary of King Mohammed VI's coronation in Jakarta, Budi said bilateral cooperation had entered a promising new phase.
"Since establishing a strategic partnership in 2023, our cooperation has entered a promising new phase. I am optimistic about the positive momentum," he said.
Bilateral trade reached US$255 million in 2025, up 33 percent from the previous year, Budi said.
Trade growth continued during the first five months of 2026, rising 42 percent from a year earlier.
