Indonesia, Morocco explore cooperation through traditional music
Jakarta, June 3 -- Indonesia and Morocco are exploring stronger cultural cooperation, including collaboration in the development of traditional music performances.
According to the statement of the Culture Ministry here on Tuesday, discussions on cultural cooperation were held during a meeting between Minister of Culture Fadli Zon and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Indonesia Redouane Houssaini.
"Morocco's Andalusi traditional music shares similarities with Indonesia's gambus and qasidah. Going forward, Indonesia and Morocco could establish cultural collaboration through these two music genres," Zon said.
