Jakarta, Aug. 27 -- The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions has invited Kuwait to collaborate in optimizing village development across Indonesia.

"We hope to establish concrete cooperation in developing villages in Indonesia, focusing on both local village potential and human resources," Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Yandri Susanto said in a statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.

He received Kuwaiti Ambassador to Indonesia Khalid Jassim Alyassin at his office on Wednesday (August 26).

Yandri said that Indonesia is home to 75,266 villages, each possessing diverse potential.
