Jakarta, July 16 -- The governments of Indonesia and Iran are exploring opportunities to strengthen cooperation in vocational training, employment and social security systems, as well as expanding job opportunities for people with disabilities.

The initiative was discussed during a meeting between Indonesian Manpower Minister Yassierli and Iranian Minister of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare Ahmad Meydari on the sidelines of the BRICS Labour and Employment Ministers' Meeting (LEMM) in Hyderabad, India, on Wednesday (July 15).

In a statement received on Thursday, Yassierli said the initiative forms part of efforts to foster a more inclusive labor market while simultaneously enhancing workers' skills and welfare.
