Jakarta, Oct. 11 -- President Prabowo Subianto said Indonesia and Egypt have agreed to strengthen defense industry cooperation and build institutional capacity through joint education and training.

"We agreed to increase cooperation, particularly in the defense industry, as well as capacity building through joint education and training programs, alongside exchange visits between our leaders and experts," Subianto said.

Speaking during a joint press statement with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Sunday, Subianto identified defense cooperation as a primary focus of their bilateral talks.
