Jakarta, Aug. 22 -- Indonesia and China agreed to deepen trade and investment partnerships, strengthen manufacturing cooperation, and contribute to an international artificial intelligence (AI) organisation to achieve ambitious development goals.

Those were the outcome of the inaugural Indonesia-China Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue (CSD) in Jakarta on Friday (August 21), Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated in a joint statement with his Indonesian counterpart, Foreign Minister Sugiono.

Wang Yi said Indonesia and China agreed to maintain strategic autonomy, support mutual interests, and coordinate development and security collaboration.
