India, Indonesia expand sustainable agriculture cooperation
Jakarta, July 7 -- India agreed to deepen agricultural cooperation with Indonesia by supplying wheat seeds and sharing sustainable farming technologies to strengthen food security, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said after talks with President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday.
"We will also supply wheat seeds developed in India to strengthen Indonesia's food security. We will also share best practices in sustainable farming and agrotechnology," Modi said during a bilateral meeting in Jakarta.
Agricultural cooperation was among the key issues discussed during the bilateral meeting between the Indonesian and Indian delegations led by the two leaders.
