Human Rights Ministry recommends recovery unit for MBG recipients
Jakarta, Sept. 9 -- Indonesia's Human Rights Ministry has urged the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to establish a unit to help residents facing health problems linked to the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.
Human Rights Minister Natalius Pigai proposed using the Maastricht Guidelines as a reference for a BGN unit dedicated to recovering victims affected by problems involving the program.
The guidelines provide a framework for identifying and addressing basic rights violations under international law, including through rehabilitation, restitution and compensation, Pigai said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
