Jakarta, April 2 -- Indonesia's parliament speaker has urged civil servants to maintain productivity in public services despite a new policy allowing them to work from home every Friday, introduced to support national energy efficiency.

House Speaker Puan Maharani said flexibility in civil service work should not compromise the speed of government services.

"Public trust is not built by changes in regulations, but by whether the public still feels the State is working at the same pace," Puan said Thursday.

She emphasized that documents must be completed on time, administrative services remain responsive, and decisions delivered without delay.
