Jakarta, Sept. 1 -- The House of Representatives (DPR) Plenary Session on Tuesday approved Destry Damayanti as Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), Aida S. Budiman as Senior Deputy Governor of BI, and Solikin M. Juhro as Deputy Governor of BI.

The approval was granted during the fourth DPR Plenary Session of the First Session of the 2026-2027 Session Year.

"May we ask the honorable council whether the report of Commission XI of the DPR regarding the results of the fit and proper test for the candidates for Governor, Senior Deputy Governor, and Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia can be approved?" House Speaker Puan Maharani said at the DPR building, to which the legislators responded in the affirmative.
