Jakarta, Sept. 22 -- The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), through Commission I, has begun fit and proper tests for 25 government-nominated candidates for ambassadorial posts in several countries and international organisations.

Speaking at the Parliament Building in Jakarta on Tuesday, Deputy Chair of Commission I Anton Sukartono said the assessments would run for two days through Wednesday (Sept 23).

He added the results would later be submitted to the House leaders, noting such tests typically end in approval as candidates had already undergone rigorous screening by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
